Tips for Killing Phantom Muspah in OSRS
Phantom Muspah is a quest boss that you can repeatedly solo-challenge after the OSRS quest Secrets of the North. You would find it harder to defeat the boss. Today we will introduce some tips to you to make it easier to fight Phantom Muspah.
Before the Fighting
Set the hotkeys
Set the hotkeys of inventory, magic spells (if you use ancient magics), and prayer interfaces (for example - F1, F2, and F3). You can switch the prayer and inventory interfaces quickly by using the hotkeys.
Click Setting - All settings - Controls, then scroll down to set the hotkeys.
Enable the Sound Effects
It's useful for the ranged form. Before the boss changes its attack style to magic, you will hear a different sound. Switch your prayer quickly to Protect from Magic before it performs the attack. Then switch back to Protect to Missiles.
Click Setting - Audio - Sound Effects (the middle one), and adjust the sound effect volume. You can mute the music and area sounds.
What you Bring
Bring enough potions (prayer, stamina, and ranging potions). And a Crossbow with sapphire bolts (e) for the shielded form. How many potions you need depends on what gear you use. Of course, skills and network connection quality are also concerted to it.
For low-ranged players, Ruby bolts (e) are recommended for the Blood Forfeit effect, which can deal 20% of the opponent's current Hitpoints with a cap of 100.
Bring a ring of dueling (8) to teleport to the ferox enclave to use the pool of refreshment to refresh your stats if you don't have the fancy rejuvenation pool built in your player-owned house.
During the Fighting
Once you enter the boss's lair, drink a dose of ranging potion to start the fight. And quickly switch to the prayer interface to activate the prayers according to the form of the boss.
Please don't drink the stamina potion unless you really need to do it.
Run along the edge during the Melee form.
Switch to the Prayer interface during the Ranged form, and be ready to change the prayer between Protect for Missiles and Magic.
Avoid running to sticks during moving.
If you use a crossbow, use Ruby bolts (e) before the hitpoints hit 300, then change to diamond bolts (e).
Before it turns into the shield form, hide behind any stick to avoid the deadly damage.
In the last battle, after the shield form, it will attack you with a stick for every four attacks. Move a tile to avoid damage. Note that it may switch the attack styles in the fourth attack. Be ready to change the prayer while moving.
That's all for today. Good luck with Phantom Muspah hunting!
