The Mysterious New OSRS Quest Boss Unique Drops

Jagex introduced a mysterious new OSRS quest & solo-repeatable boss and released a poll for it a few days ago. Many players liked it and voted for it. Here are more details of the drops from the mysterious phantom boss.

Phantom Essence (Changed to Ancient Essence)

The Phantom Essence is tradeable and has a 100% drop rate after you defeat the boss, like Zulrah's scales. You can use them as supplies to create a new bow and charge it later, upgrade your Imbued Heart, and more.

Bloodletter Shards and Bow (Changed to Venator Shards & Bow)

Both Bloodletter Shards and Bow are tradeable. You may get these shards from the boss as a rare drop and can break them into Phantom Essence or combine them with Phantom Essence to make a Bloodletter Bow.

You need 80 Ranged to equip the new bow. And it offers 90 ranged attack bonus and 25 ranged strength bonus.

The bow has a special attack effect - Bouncing. It will bounce to hit other targets in a range of two squares in a multi-combat area, dealing 66% of the original damage. It will be a good weapon for ranged skill training.

Note: You can still use it as a regular bow when it has run out of charge.

Soulblight Icon and Sceptre (Changed to Ancient Icon & Sceptre)

The Soulblight Icon is untradeable. You may get it as a rare drop from the boss and take it to an NPC to make the Soulblight Sceptre with an Ancient Staff. The Soulblight Sceptre is also untradeable.

You need 70 magic and 60 strength to equip it. The Soulblight Sceptre offers a +5% magic strength bonus and buffs the effects of all Ancient Magicks by 10%.

Blood Magick: 10% more healing effective

Ice Magick: 10% longer on the freeze duration

Shadow Magick: 10% more effective on stat drain effects

Smoke Magick: 10% of Poison Value increased

Can we use the Phantom Essence to charge the Sceptre to make it more powerful? Jagex didn't mention it right now.

Saturated Heart

You can use some Phantom Essence on your Imbued Heart to make a Saturated Heart, which will buff your magic by 4 + 10% of your base magic level (rounded down).

Will it run out of charge after use? We don't know.

Magister's Brew (Changed to Forgotten Brew)

You can add Phantom Essence to an Ancient Brew to make a Magister's Brew, which will double the boosting of your magic level compared with the Ancient Brew, from 2 + 5% of your magic level to 4 + 10% of your magic level.

You need 91 herblore to make it and will gain 145 Herblore XP per brew.

Will it be able to add Phantom Essence to a regular magic potion in the future? Mmm, maybe not. It is just our idea.
