Recommended Training Methods for OSRS Hunter Level 1-99
Hunter is an easy-to-train skill that can make you profit, even if you are a level 3. Here are some recommended training methods for level 1-99.
Level 1-15: Natural History Quiz and Feldip weasels
Go to the basement section of the Varrock Museum, and complete the Natural History Quiz to gain 1,000 Hunter experience for level 1-9.
Then buy a Noose wand and go to the Feldip Hunter area south of Yanille. Catch Feldip weasels for level 9-15.
Level 15-29: Copper longtails and Ruby harvests
Buy two bird snares, a butterfly net, and some butterfly jars, and go to the Piscatoris Hunter area. Catch Copper longtails and Ruby harvests until you reach level 29.
Level 29-43: Swamp lizards
Buy some ropes and small fishing nets (5+ of each), and go to the Canifis Hunter area. Catch Swamp lizards until you reach level 43.
Level 43-60: Kebbits
Bring some OSRS gold coins (500+), and go to the Piscatoris Hunter area. Rent a Gyr falcon in the Piscatoris falconry area, and catch Spotted kebbits for level 43-57, then Dark kebbits for level 57-60.
Level 60-67: Red salamanders
Bring some ropes and small fishing nets (5+ of each), and go south of the entrance to the Ourania Cave. Catch Red salamanders for level 60-67.
Level 67-73: Black salamanders or Red chinchompas
Bring some ropes and small fishing nets (8+ of each), and go to the Boneyard Hunter area in the Wilderness (be aware of PKers). Catch Black salamanders for level 67-73.
If you want to make money, buy some box traps and go to the Feldip Hunter area to catch Red chinchompas (1,680 for 67-73). You can sell them for around 2M OSRS gold coins.
Note: You must have completed the OSRS quest Eagles' Peak to set box traps.
Level 73-99: Black chinchompas
Warning: Be aware of PKers. Bring food for healing, an amulet of glory, or a Royal seed pod for teleporting.
Bring some box traps and go to the hunting area in level 32-36 Wilderness. You can now camp here for great experience and profit.
If you don't want to take risks, continue catching Red chinchompas.
