OSRS Wintertodt Activity Easy Guide

07/04/22

The Wintertodt is a dangerous activity you can play for the Firemaking training and Supply crates. The worlds 307, 309, 311, and 389 are official for Wintertodt. You can solo it or play with other players. Today we will introduce how to participate in the activity.

Requirements

50 Firemaking is required.

You can ignore the other requirements listed on the wiki or in the other guides.

Items

An axe

A knife

A tinderbox

A hammer

At least four pieces of Warm Clothing (We suggest the Gloves of silence, Santa hat, Staff of fire, Polar camo top & legs bought from the OSRS Grand exchange.)

Some cakes

Getting There

The quickest way to get there is using a games necklace.

Fighting

You will find some Bruma trees, with some braziers near the trees around the activity area. Chop the trees for Bruma roots, then add them to the lit braziers. You can also fletch the roots into Bruma kindling before adding them to the braziers. By doing this, you will gain more points but less Firemaking experience.

You cannot add Bruma roots or Bruma kindling to the braziers if they are unlit or broken. Light it again with a tinderbox, or repair it with a hammer.

During the battle, the Wintertodt will attack players with three different attacks: Standard attack, Brazier attack, and Area attack (3x3 spaces). You can avoid those last two attacks by running away quickly when they happen. Wearing warm or winter-themed equipment will reduce the damage taken.

Be aware of your Hitpoints and eat food if they are lower. If you died in the activity, you could return to where you died and pick up the dropped items.

Rewards

You will get the Firemaking experience (Firemaking level * 100) and a Supply crate (two rewards inside and a minimum of 500 points to obtain). The more points you gain, the more rewards you will get.

The unique rewards are the Pyromancer outfit, Bruma torch, Warm gloves, Tome of fire, Burnt page, and Phoenix pet. You can also get Logs, Ores, Gems, Seeds, Raw fish, Herbs, and other reward items from the Supply crates.

The activity is one of the best ways to train the Firemaking skill. Have a try on it if you haven't played it before.
