OSRS Game Jam II: Projects Preview - Part One
Today we will introduce some of the projects mentioned by J-Mods in Jam II. These projects are just concepts, meaning we will not see them in the game in a short time.
New Hairstyles
There are 16 new hairstyles. You must complete a new OSRS quest to unlock them.
You will also gain access to the FashionScape Accessory Shop for purchasing the Bunny hat, Mole hat, Cat hat, and more.
When you choose your new hairstyle, you can see it with a 360-degree preview.
OSRS Randomiser
Firstly, let's see what Jagex said:
"Chopping trees gets you nothing but Burnt Sharks. Shops sell Medium Clue Caskets, and Tinderboxes are only obtainable from Fishing. Lumbridge is overrun with Dagannoths, and hitting them with your sword grants you Smithing XP. And the cows? Somehow they’ve acquired a piece of the map to Crandor."
We were shocked when we saw the project. It's like a new game (RandomiserScape?), but not Runescape. No way!
Agility Improvements
A higher Agility level will make run energy restore faster and drain more slowly.
Buff rates (compared with the current ones in-game):
1 Agility
1kg - 150% buff
64kg - 17% nerf
20 Agility
64kg - 0.8% buff
This is the 'breakpoint' at which our proposed system is always better than what's currently in-game.
50 Agility
1kg - 191% buff
64kg - 26% buff
99 Agility
1kg - 153% buff
64kg - 48% buff
Why not change the speed of running? A player with a higher Agility level will run faster than a player with a lower Agility level at the same weight. It should be awesome, especially for PKers.
Agility may be a free-to-play skill in the future, and the Lumbridge Agility Course (level 1-10) will be available for F2P.
OSRS Tower Defence
The OSRS Tower Defence is a new OSRS minigame based on the different skills on offer, the combat system, and more. You may get points (spend for items at a reward store) and a ranking from playing it.
We hope you like them.
