OSRS Free Quest Guide - Dragon Slayer I

Dragon Slayer I a challenging and exciting OSRS quest that requires players to defeat the mighty dragon Elvarg. Are you ready to embark on a daring quest to slay the fiercest dragon? Here's a quick guide for you.

Requirements

32 quest points to enter the Champions' Guild

The ability to defeat a level 83 dragon (Elvarg)

Required Items

You can buy all of them from the Grand Exchange before starting.

Runes to cast Varrock, Lumbridge, and Falador teleports (non-member)

Charged Chronicle for fast travel to Champions' Guild (you can buy it and teleport cards from Diango in Draynor Village, then combine them)

Charged Amulet of glory for teleport to Draynor Village, Edgeville, and Karamja (member-only)

Pest Control Minigame teleport (member-only)

Armour, weapon, food, and energy potions

Weapon and ammo for Ranging attack or Runes for Magic attack

Each of a Law and Air rune to cast Telekinetic Grab (if you have 33+ Magic)

Quest Walkthrough

Starting out

1. Head to Champions' Guild located south of Varrock, and speak to Guildmaster. (Chat 2)

2. Go to the building northwest of the General store in Edgeville, and speak to Oziach. (Chat 1-1-1-1)

3. Return to Champions' Guild, and speak to Guildmaster. (Chat 2-1-1-1-2-3-2-3) Be sure to ask about Melzar, Thalzar, and Lozar's map pieces and where to find the right ship before continuing.

If you don't have an anti-dragon shield, speak to Duke Horacio on the 2nd floor of the Lumbridge Castle to obtain one. (Chat 1-1-1-2) If you already have one, skip it.

Thalzar's map piece

Required items: Silk, Lobster pot, Unfired bowl, and Wizard's mind bomb

1. Go to the Ice Mountain and walk north, then speak to Oracle. (Chat 1)

2. Enter the Dwarven mine (use the entrance south of the Ice Mountain, marked with a dungeon icon on the map)

3. Once you are in, walk south, then northeast. Use your Silk, Lobster pot, Unfired bowl, and Wizard's mind bomb (right-click and select the use option) on the Magic door.

4. Once in the room, open and search the chest to receive a map piece. Be sure that you finish the dialogue.

Melzar's map piece

Required items: Maze key, weapon, armour, food, and potions to defeat level 82 Lesser demon

1. Head to Rimmington and enter Melzar's maze south of the Crafting guild.

2. Ground floor - Kill the small Zombie rat with a long tail to get a red key, then open the north-western door and climb up the ladder.

3. First floor - Kill the Ghost wearing a hood, a tube top, and no cape to get an orange key, then open the second door from the north on the eastern wall and climb up the ladder.

4. Second floor - Kill the Skeleton with the round shield to get a yellow key, then open the westmost door on the southern wall and climb down the ladder 3 times.

5. Basement - Kill the Zombies to get a blue key and enter the blue door. Kill Melzar the Mad to get a purple (magenta) key and enter the purple (magenta) door. Kill the Lesser demon to get a green key and enter the green door.

6. Once in the room, open and search the chest to receive a map piece.

Lozar's map piece

Required items: Ranged/Magic/Halberd (member-only) and telegrab runes to kill Wormbrain or 10,000 coins

1. Go to the jail in Port Sarim (south of the food store).

2. Attack (Ranged, Magic, or Halberd) Wormbrain (a Goblin in the jail) through the jail wall to lower his hp to 0, then he will drop the map piece. Telegrab it. If you cannot attack it or don't have the required Magic level for the telegrab spell, speak to him and pay 10,000 OSRS gold coins for the map piece. (Chat 1-3-2)

Combine the map pieces by using them on each other to get a map.

The Ship

Required Items: Hammer, 3 normal Planks, 90 Steel nails, 2,000 OSRS gold coins, Crandor map

1. Go to the southern docks (the third transportation icon counted from the south on the map) of Port Sarim by the Void Outpost boat in Port Sarim. Speak to Klarense and pay him 2,000 OSRS gold coins. (Chat 4-1)

2. Board the ship and climb down. Repair the ship by patching the hole 3 times.

3. Go to Draynor Village, and speak to Ned. (Chat 1) Be sure that the map is in your inventory.

Defeat Elvarg

Required Items: Anti-dragon shield, weapon, armour, food, and potions to defeat Elvarg

Note: Be sure to equip the Anti-dragon shield during the whole battle. You can open the wall south of Elvarg's cave to unlock the secret access/shortcut from Karamja to Crandor. Otherwise, you have to repair the ship again to travel to Crandor.

1. Return to Port Sarim. Board the ship you have bought and repaired, and talk to Ned to depart. Then you will see a cutscene. (Chat 1)

2. Go to the top of the volcano and enter the hole (marked with a dungeon icon on the map).

3. Go south and climb over the low stalagmites, then kill Elvarg. You will pick up the head automatically after defeating her.

Return to Oziach in Edgeville and speak to him to complete the quest.
