OSRS Forestry: The Way of the Forester Updates

02/25/23

According to players' feedback, Jagex made some adjustments to Forestry. And you will see all questions in the official poll on March 1st. Now let's see what changes they have made.

Split Releasing

The game content launches as a split-release update.

Part one: June 2023

The social activity will be released with Leaves, Campfires, Tea Brewing, and the first batch of events and rewards.

Part two: July 2023

The second part of the content will be released with balancing changes and the second batch of events and rewards.

GP Making & XP Gaining

Some players suggest that the OSRS gold from the activity sits between Magic and Mahogany Trees, and the XP should be better than AFK Redwoods but less than 1.5 or 2-tick Teak chopping.

But Jagex insists that players should receive more gold coins and experience from this activity.

For All Players: Members & Non-members

Jagex has made the decision that the Forestry will be open for all players: Members & Non-members. However, the specific content for non-members has not yet been decided.

Forestry Kit

The only change is to remove Forester's Scone from the Kit. In addition, there is no change because players like those items.

There will be more voting questions later. You can cast your votes on them.

Events

Violence: Both players and Jagex thought that violence doesn't mesh with Woodcutting. They will change some events into less-violent versions.

Combat XP: You will not gain combat experience from events.

Tree Leaves, Campfires, and Tea

Jagex will move combat bonuses from Leaves, Teas, and Campfires. And they will focus on the effects of gathering and production benefits.

Rewards

The Two-handed Axes will offer some combat stats.

Pet transmogs may be added to the activity.

In addition to the above, other rewards remain unchanged.

If you are interested in Forestry, don't forget the vote on March 1st.
