Jagex Accounts - Open Beta is Available to All Players
Great news! The Jagex account open beta is now available to all players. It works with the Jagex launcher to ensure your OSRS accounts are more secure. And also, it will be easier to access the OSRS game with one click.
Why Upgrade?
Firstly, the Jagex account is independent of the OSRS account. You can sign up with a new email address for it.
The JA provides stronger account protections like:
Set up a more complex password and email or app multi-factor authentication.
Provide backup codes that serve as the only way to recover your account if you forget your registration details, lose access to your authentication app, or lose your smartphone.
You can add up to 10 different RS3/OSRS accounts and switch between them seamlessly.

Please note:
You must log out of the current(OSRS) account if you are using the Jagex launcher. Then log in with your new CREATED Jagex account.
Log out if it asks you to install Runelite, and log in again to see if it is available to play. Or reinstall it. Log out and log in again to make it available to play.
Please enable the Security codes via the authenticator app after upgrading, and remember to download the backup codes.
Read Before Upgrade
The Jagex launcher installation is required before you can play the games after upgrading. Please Click Here to download it.
You cannot install the Jagex launcher using a shared network such as a school or work network.
The Jagex launcher and Jagex Accounts are not supported on the Linux OS.
Only the official OSRS client and the Runelite are available on the Jagex launcher. If you are using HDOS, don't upgrade it.
You cannot 'downgrade' from a Jagex Account, which means you can only play through the Jagex launcher after upgrading.
Suggestions & Cautions
We strongly recommend you upgrade to a Jagex account before purchasing services that require account sharing. Otherwise, you may lose control of your account if you use an untrusted website.
