Introdntroducing New OSRS Skills - Taming

Based on the voting and survey results, Jagex has brought three new OSRS skills for players to pick: Sailing, Taming, and Shamanism. Two skills are Utility, and the third is a mix between Production and Gathering. Today we will give you a brief introduction to Taming.

Introduction

Taming is a utility skill that lets you make friends with new and existing creatures in the game. Each has a unique ability to help you to explore the world in new ways.

Unlike summoning in RS3, you should train and look after them after taming these creatures, letting them become stronger.

Domesticate a creature, look after it, and train it. It's also not hard to do. With a higher Taming level, you can access new areas and Domesticate new tameable creatures.

Training

You can gain some experience while taming a creature. Some food, toys, and other supplies and tools may be helpful when you try to Domesticate them.

Once you have tamed a creature, you must look after and train it. Feed it its favorite food, build a cosy new home for it, and interact with it. Some creatures may like running specific obstacle courses, while others want to do risky things like navigating elaborate mazes and traversing dangerous dungeons. But some of them may just want the cosy bonding time.

By looking after and training them, you will gain some experience.

Reward Space

By leveling your companions, their abilities will be stronger. Some creatures can help you unlock new areas, some can help you with existing skills, and some might even help you in combat. While training them, they can also get you some additional rewards. A flying creature may find hidden treasures in high places, while the grounded ones may help you find buried artefacts.

With different companions, their abilities can also help you when you train in other skills.

Unlike pets, your companions can help you in many ways. Please take good care of them.
