How to Upgrade to Jagex Account & OSRS Account Migration
To make your characters more secure, Jagex will launch Jagex Account System. Now more players are invited to the closed beta. Today, let's learn how to upgrade to Jagex Account and import an OSRS account.
Please note: Once you upgrade or import other osrs accounts to the Jagex account, you can only play the game with the current Jagex account.
Upgrade to Jagex Account
1. Log into your Runescape account at https://account.jagex.com/
2. Click the Upgrade button on the top-right corner of the UI.
3. Click the Start button to continue. After upgrading, you can only play using the official and runelite clients.
4. Follow the instructions to create a new Jagex Account for accessing all your characters.
Note: You must use a valid email you hold, which does not have to be the same as the one on your character.
5. Congratulations! You now have a Jagex account and have upgraded your current OSRS account to the Jagex account.
Other Accounts Migration
1. Log into your Jagex Account, and click the Character button on the navigation bar.
2. Click the Import Existing button.
3. Confirm your character import by clicking the Continue button.
4. You will be prompted to the account login page. Enter your email/username and password to log in.
5. Finish the import by hitting the Confirm button.
Account Security
The Jagex account system will make all your characters more secure. You will find the details about account security under Account management.
Two-step authentication
Security code via authentication app: You can set the two-step authentication with an authentication app on your smartphone/tablet. Follow the instructions to complete it.
Security code via email: You can set an email to receive the security code. Follow the instructions to complete it.
Backup codes: After you set the two-step authentication with an authentication app, you will get some backup codes. It's the only way to access your account with these codes if you lose the authentication app. Please save and keep them safe.
End All Active Sessions
You can end all sessions remembered on your device. You must log in again if you want to play it next time.
